Maintenance Operative

Vacancies

Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 Hours per week)

Salary: £24,294-£25,545 (pay award pending)

Additional standby allowance of up to £135 per week on a rota.

Flexible working pattern

The Remarkable Group was established in 1971, providing the highest quality services for autistic young people.

Wargrave House School (ages 5–16) & Ascent College (ages 16–25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with excellent reputations for delivering outstanding education and care. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

We are looking to appoint a confident and reliable Maintenance Operative who holds key maintenance skills and a corresponding knowledge of health and safety.

You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance duties across our multiple sites. You will also be a key holder and participate in a standby rota therefore you must be able to attend to call outs at unsociable hours. The use of your own vehicle is necessary as you will be expected to travel to different sites to support our activities.

This is a very varied, interesting role and plays an integral part of the charity’s support team. You will be representing the charity when dealing with contractors, suppliers and visitors. If you are self-motivated, have a good sense of humour, enjoy working as part of a team and are looking for your next challenge, we would be pleased to hear from you.

What we offer

We offer a range of employee benefits including Group Personal Pension, subsidised lunch, Employee Assistance Programme, additional annual leave for long service, company sick pay and enhanced maternity/paternity pay. Employee learning and development is key to our continued success and we look to support all staff with related training wherever possible.
